DEFINING STATEMENT:
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers
dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
NEW ADDRESS: We now have a P O Box
for our address to assure we receive all correspondence. The new address is: P O
Box 2754 , zip 34973.
MARGE BLAIR MATH MINI GRANTS: Central Elementary
teachers, Janelle Johns and Erlinda Vaughn, recipients of the Marge Blair Mini
Grants, will be our guest speakers on Mar 13 to tell the club about their math
projects. Rikki Blair will also be in attendance.
EASTER PANCAKE BREAKFAST: The annual
Pancake Breakfast will be on Easter Sunday, Mar 23, at the Freshman Campus
cafeteria, and a "satellite" location at the First United Methodist Church. Set
up will take place on Sat, Mar 22. See Greg Thogersen for your tickets and be sure to mark your calendar
to help set up on Sat or serve on Sun.
CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to
Gene and Bobi O'Neill on the birth of their Grandson, Christopher Blaine O'Neill
on Feb 1, in Elizabethton, TN. Christopher weighed in at 7 pounds, 8 ounces.
Proud parents are Chris and Kimberly O'Neill.
RECOVERING: Gene O'Neill spent
several days in the hospital and is back home. Bruce Simpson has an infection in
his knee replacement and will have surgery to remove the knee on Mar 19. Please
keep these members in your thoughts and prayers.
IN THE NEWS: Key Club member, Elj
Cabansay was pictured in the Okeechobee Times along with Wayne Brown for his
volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. The Key Club is volunteering with
Habitat as a service project. The Key Club also volunteered to help with parking
for the Battle of Okeechobee.
NEW MEMBERS: Sherri Enfinger and
Megan McCellan of Riverside Bank were approved by the Board at the March Board
Meeting. Welcome!
