RADIO AUCTION: Our annual Radio Auction is scheduled for Dec 8 on WOKC. Please contact businesses to get donations to auction. Remember, do not pick up the item, the winning bidder gets a certificate to take to the merchant to pick the item up there. The merchant gets the benefit of having the winner come into his store. This is one of our major fundraisers. so please get as many donations as possible. The auction will be held at Riverside Bank this year so we will have more phone lines to work with.

INSTALLATION BANQUET: The Installation Banquet for our 2007-2008 officers and directors was held at KOA on Oct 18. Past Lt-Gov Cindy Miller installed the officers. A memorial table was set up in memory of Dick Blair and included several of his Kiwanis Awards, his Life Member Badge, and other memorabilia. His daughter, Marge Merrill made some very interesting and humorous comments regarding her father. Pres Frank Irby presented thank you awards and gifts to: Jay Zeller for program chair; Paul Mitchell for Terrific Kids; Jim Vensel for Radio Auction; Greg Thogersen for Pancake Breakfast; and Dowling Watford received the "Spark Plug" (literally a spark plug) Award. A special thanks to Maureen Burroughs for coordinating the event, Wendy Woodman for the KOA facilties and Golden Corral for catering.
