DEFINING STATEMENT:
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers
dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
NEW ADDRESS: We now have a P O Box
for our address to assure we receive all correspondence. The new address is: P O
Box 2754 , zip 34973.
REAL LIFE CHILDREN'S RANCH SCHOOL
SUPPLY DRIVE: Our annual school supply drive for RLCR will end on Aug 9 when the
supplies are presented to RLCR. All school supplies are needed (paper,
pens, pencils, glue, folders, spiral notebooks, markers, rulers, scientific
calculators-TI-34, 1' 3 ring binders, book bags, etc) or CASH would also be
welcome.
INTERCLUB: We are planning to visit
the Ft Pierce Sunrise club for an interclub on Aug 16. An interclub is where at
least (4) Kiwanians from one club visit another club. We have not done an
interclub in many years and this is a great way to meet fellow Kiwanians and
learn some great ideas from other clubs. Contact Dowling Watford if you would
like to go.
AWARDS: At the July Division Council
Meeting, Lt Gov Cindy Miller presented Dowling Watford and Maureen Burroughs
with the Governor's Eagle Feather pins for their work on the Governor's visit
last Sept.
OFFICERS: The officers for 2007-2008
are: Pres- Frank Irby; VP- Jim Vensel; Sec- Corey Crum; Treas- Jeff Sumner, and
Directors: Greg Thogerson, Paul Mitchell, Devon Maxwell, Bennett Yeilding, Brad
Stark, Wendy Woodman and alternates Robi Sumner and Kelly Owens. Thanks to the
outgoing officers and directors for their service and to the incoming officers
for their willingness to serve!
