NEW MEETING LOCATION: Fat Boy's (where
we have been meeting since the hurricane damage closed the Village Square) has
been sold and will close for remodeling. Our last meeting at Fat Boy's will be
Mar 24. New meeting place will be the Brahma Bull on 441 S until Village Square
reopens.
BOBI O'NEILL FUNDRAISER:
Plans are continuing for the Mar 26 BBQ & Auction to assist Bobi and Gene
with the expenses during her illness and the upcoming transplant. If you have
any items to donate for the auction, would like BBQ tickets or would like to
just make a donation, please see Dowling Watford. Bobi is at home gaining
strength and waiting for a donor. She is able to have visitors, but please call
ahead.
BABY SHOWER: The Club will
sponsored a baby shower for the Pregnancy Resource Center on Feb 10. Everyone
really had a good time and it was especially fun to try guess some of our
members' baby pictures. We donated many items to the Center and received a very
nice thank you note from Malinda Belleville (Director) and Lori Jaquith
(Instructor). A special thanks to Robbi Sumner and Dionna Bunyard for chairing
the event.
RECOVERING: Neil Gunsalus (AKA
Pastor Wonderful) has returned home from therapy and continues to recover from
his heart attack and broken ankle. Jim Burke continues his radiation and chemo treatments and is doing
very well. He sends his regards to the Club. Jerry Bryant fell and broke
his knee cap. Surgery was required and Jerry is recuperating at home. Best
wishes for a speedy recovery.
PANCAKE BREAKFAST: Our annual
Pancake Breakfast will be Mar 27 at Teen Town. Greg Thogersen has volunteered to
