Thursday, June 10, 2010: The Kiwanis Club of Okeechobee will be voting on its slate of Officers at their regular meeting.

Thursday, May 6, 2010: The Kiwanis Club of Okeechobee will be assisting the Okeechobee Ministerial Association with the National Day of Prayer. Please come down to the Okeechobee County Courthouse starting at noon. Food and drinks will be provided by Kiwanis.

Wednesday, March 3, 2010: The Kiwanis Easter Pancake Breakfast is coming up soon. This year Easter falls on Sunday, April 4, 2010. Any members interested in volunteering can contact either J.D. Mixon or Mary Chesley. You may also contact them if you would like to buy tickets for this wonderful event. Cowboy's Restaurant has once again been generous enough to donate their facility to us to hold the event! Thank you so much to Jim McCoin and Cowboy's Restaurant!

Monday, February 26, 2010: Kermit Nichol’s sons will host an open house on Saturday evening March 6, 2010 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in their Dad’s home, located at 11458 NE 3rd Circle, Okeechobee. His sons along with some other family members will be there to share some stories and good times. Alan wrote: "I would like to invite anyone from Kiwanis and from dad’s neighborhood that would like to come."

Thursday, February 25, 2010: It is with great sadness that I inform you that Kermit Nichols was involved in a serious auto accident on his way home from Kiwanis on Thurs, was transferred to Lawnwood Medical Center and past away around 9:00 PM. Two of his sons from the Miami area did make it up and Bruce was with them. We will post arrangements when they are complete. Please keep the Nichols family in your thoughts and prayers.

Tuesday, February 16, 2010: The Kiwanis Club of Okeechobee has voted to sponsor an OCRA Tee-Ball team. The team shirts will be blue & gold with the Okeechobee Kiwanis logo on the front. We plan to have a K-day where some members attend one of the games meet the team and parents.
