DEFINING STATEMENT:
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers
dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
NEW ADDRESS: We now have a P O Box
for our address to assure we receive all correspondence. The new address is: P O
Box 2754 , zip 34973.
PANCAKE BREAKFAST. Our Easter
Pancake Breakfast on Apr 12, will be held at Cowboy's Restaurant this year. In
addition to this change, Chairman J D Mixson, has announced that door prizes
will be given out to those attending. J D has posters and tickets available and
please let him know if you have any door prize gifts to donate. Remember- Sell,
Sell Sell those tickets!
SCHOLARSHIPS: The Board voted to
reduce the number of scholarships to two this year to allow more funds to be
generated for the YMCA project. One of the scholarships will be designated for a
Key Club member.
Lt-GOV VISIT: Our Lt-Gov for
Division 16, Bill Hansen, made his official visit to the club on Mar 5. Lt-Gov
Bill encouraged the club to increase new members and to participate in the
Governors project of collecting teddy bears and hats for children in stressful
situations.
RECOVERING: Bruce Simpson is
recovering nicely from his latest knee replacement surgery. Kathryn Montes De Oca (Marcos' daughter) will
have heart surgery on Mar 10. Our prayers and sincere best wishes for a
successful outcome!
CONDOLENCES: Our sincere sympathy to
Devin Maxwell and Tracy Downing on the death of their father. Our thoughts and
prayers are with you.
